Adding Content

Adding content is pretty straightforward: just three simple steps:
  1. Add a title,
  2. type your text,
  3. and click publish.
Don't worry if you make a mistake, though, you can always click Edit Posts until the page looks just like you want it to. (I know that my screenshot has two "ones". I'm not that good at taking screenshots.)

Although you can edit the HTML directly, or use the formatting tools on the editor toolbar, I find that my posts look best when I keep my formatting very simple. Here are the rules I use:
  • I never change the font or the font size. Instead, I let the template style sheet control the look and feel of my pages. The templates were designed by professional artists, and their selections usually look a lot better than those I make.
  • I do use the bold, italic, and bulleted control on the toolbar to create lists or add emphasis to my text.
  • If I want a subheading, I just use normal sized text and make it bold
  • I use two blank lines between paragraphs.
Along with your text, though, you'll probably want to add some pictures. Blogger makes that pretty convenient.
